We are delighted to facilitate this online introduction to palliative care course. The course is for all interdisciplinary team members with an interest in developing their understanding and awareness of palliative care. It will explore the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional aspects of caring with individuals and their families. St Francis Hospice interdisciplinary team will deliver the course.
Participants receive preparatory materials for day 1 and 2 which will be built on during the live days.
Day 1:Pain and Symptom Management – Tuesday 13th April 2027

Principles and Philosophies of Palliative Care
Symptom Assessment
Symptom Management (pain, nausea, vomiting, breathlessness)
Recognising Dying
Day 2: Psychosocial and Spiritual – Tuesday 20th April 2027
Time- 10:00-16:30

This ticket grants online access to both days of the course. It also includes access to the Palliative Hub Learning Platform, hosted by our partner the AIIHPC (All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care), which will contain pre-course material and slides from the day.
