This interactive workshop provides training for non-clinical and administrative staff whose work brings them into contact with sick and bereaved people.
The workshop will focus on communication skills training, centering on responding to people who are distressed, angry or overwhelmed with life’s circumstances.
The importance of self care will also be explored.
Participants receive preparatory materials for the day which will be built on during the live day.
This ticket includes lunch and refreshments. It also includes access to the Palliative Hub Learning Platform, hosted by our partner the AIIHPC (All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care), which will contain pre-course material and slides from the day.
