Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term

Hours : 35 hours per week

Location: Raheny/Blanchardstown

Salary Scale : 64,551 - 76,007

St. Francis Hospice Dublin provides a comprehensive range of palliative care services for patients and their families living in North Dublin City and County.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as part of the Occupational Therapy team at St. Francis Hospice Dublin working in close collaboration with other multi-disciplinary team members across the different services (In-Patient unit, Outpatients and Day service and in the Community)

The person must…

  • Be CORU registered
  • Have a minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) recent post graduate experience, 1 of which must have been in a hospice setting/ acute hospital setting and/ or primary care
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in completing functional and seating assessments
  • Demonstrate expertise in complex discharge planning and risk assessment
  • Have excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with leading service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience providing professional supervision
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, relevant to palliative care

Desirable:

  • Experience with teaching and research.
  • Experience in symptom management education
