Sunflower Field
Visit Ballyboughal in July/August to view this magnificent sunflower field. This field is generously planted, organised and grown by the Hoey/Bergin families.
Pick your own Sunflowers and make a donation while enjoying a lovely family walk or mindful stroll in this stunning field.
This beautiful field will open to the public until mid-August and all are welcome to drop by. The field is open 24/7. There are no time restrictions, visit day or night, donate and take some beautiful sunflowers home. Don’t forget to bring your own cutting tools as these will not be provided!
The land is located in Ballyboughal, just off the Swords Road
You can make your donation at https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/SunflowersForStFrancisHospice or pop a donation in the honesty box located at the field.
Thank you and enjoy.
School/Creche FUN DAY!
Schools and Creches can get involved by wearing yellow on any day in June. Children and staff can be as inventive and creative as they wish, they could wear a yellow T-shirt, giant yellow glasses, or go even bigger and dress up as a sunflower! All they need to do is wear something yellow and have fun! We encourage families to donate €2 on the day in aid of funding for St. Francis Hospice Dublin so that we can continue to provide person-centered, holistic, loving care to our patients and their loved ones.
If you wish to have your school participate, here’s how:
1. Register your school directly by contacting St. Francis Hospice Dublin on 01-8327535 /01-8294000 or email us at fundraising@sfh.ie with the following information;
a.) How many pupils in your school.
b.) What day you wish to host your event in June.
2. Ask pupils to wear a yellow item of clothing to school on your chosen “Sunflower Fun Day” in June.
3. Ask families to donate €2, or whatever they can afford.

Sunflower of Life
In June, our Chaplains hold a Sunflower of Life Reflection in the Hospice Garden. If you wish to have a loved one remembered at this reflection please visit https://hospicevirtualflowergarden.com/ and sponsor a sunflower and we will add the names of those you wish to remember to to a sunflower card. These cards will be placed in the Hospice Garden and the Reflections in both Raheny and Blanchardstown will be broadcast on our Facebook page and on our website in June.
