I truly can't believe that your first anniversary is almost upon us...I pray that all of your suffering has ended. ...I felt priviledged to attend the celabration of your life at the weekend. The balloon ceremony was so beautifully orchestrated, that, we all shed a few tears, before reminiscing over the past 27 yers since we met. When everyone else went indoors, I sat on the bench Margaret and Aoife had commissioned in your memory......The tribute on your beautiful plaque, and your bench surrounded by the very familiar yellow roses........It's a fitting monument to the man you once were, you were by no means perfect but as you always said "only the wise learn from their mistakes". Margaret and Aoife are coping as well as they can....Your legacy will live on in your first grandchild, whom , we are all so eager to meet next March. We have shared far too many memories to ever forget you. I'll never delete the messages you sent during your last few months.....Always in our hearts.
