About this workshop
Pluralism accepts that difference and its associated traditions is normal in society whether in ethnicity, sexual orientation or faith.
In the past century the Western healthcare systems has seen vast developments in medical technologies and considerable pluralization of views on what constitutes good living, healthcare, and dying. Amidst these changes, successful decision making can only emerge where all parties learn to communicate in a way that respects all medical and moral convictions.
In this workshop, Professor Boer will explore one or more case studies from his decades of experience in the Dutch plural healthcare system and conclude with instruments that may support the navigation into deep moral pluralism in palliative care.
