Oscar-nominated actor Brendan Gleeson recently helped launch our fundraising campaign for the redevelopment of our Raheny in-patient unit. The new design will provide 24 single rooms in Raheny, mirroring the in-patient unit in St Francis Hospice Blanchardstown.

In lending his support, Brendan recalled the care his parents had both received in St Francis Hospice Raheny. He said he witnessed “kindness as a continuum, a top of the tree aspiration and an everyday vehicle for what they do. The reason I lend my support to them is because I believe the care and dignity that is afforded to patients is something that should be available to everyone in our community. St Francis Hospice must make sure they expand to help everyone who needs them.”
