Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Palliative Medicine

The Graduate Certificate in Palliative Medicine was developed to meet the needs of medical practitioners and to facilitate the translation of best practice from the specialist palliative care setting. The programme, which consists of 4 modules, run sequentially over two semesters (Autumn and Spring), is the product of collaboration between UCD, the Centre for Postgraduate Medical Education at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and St Francis Hospice.

Specialist Registrar Training

Specialist Registrar Training Programme in Palliative Medicine

St. Francis Hospice has been engaged in higher medical training for the past number of years and currently has one Specialist Registrar post for doctors who wish to train as Consultants in Palliative Medicine.

Undergraduate Physiotherapy Education:

The physiotherapy department supports the undergraduate training of physiotherapy students from RCSI and TCD by facilitating clinical placements and university based education sessions.

Clinical placements are organised via the placement education coordinator in the universities.
