Community Palliative Care Volunteers

The Community Palliative Care Service has two volunteer roles - Home Visits and Community Palliative Care Administration.
The Home Visits volunteer povides a visiting service to patients and provides support to patients' families in the environment of their own home. Volunteers also bring patients on outings and asstst practically , for example helping a patient go supermarket shopping.

The time commitment is flexible, normally one or two vistis a week at a timeto suit both the patient and volunteer. The Community Palliative Care Administration volunteer role assists staff in filing and record keeping. Office skills are needed. This role is afternoon only on Thursday or Friday.
