About Us
St. Francis Hospice provides a specialist palliative care service for the people of North Dublin City and County. St. Francis Hospice is a voluntary organisation under the care of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. It is located in Raheny Village, approximately five miles north of Dublin city centre.
The Services we offer include:

The Community Palliative Care Team, to advise and support families caring for loved one, and to enable the person to be cared for in his/her own home

Hospice Day Care provides additional care and support to patients living at home

St. Anne's In-Patient Unit offers admission for respite care, symptom management, and specialised care in the final stages of illness

Partial funding for the running costs of the service comes from various sources, including the Health Service Executive, Irish Hospice Foundation, Irish Cancer Society and local support groups. However, St. Francis Hospice depends to a large extent on charitable contributions, and benefits greatly from the generous support of the northside Dublin community. Our current financial needs include:

A projected cost of €19.4 million for the development of a new Hospice Facility in the North West of Dublin (click here to see the site), to commence in 2007/8.

Ongoing operating costs of €225,000 per month for our Community Palliative Care and Hospice Day Care, which are only partially funded by the Health Service Executive.
